Time of Flight (TOF) Mass SpectrometryTOF mass spectrometry is a technique used to determine the relative atomic mass of atoms or molecules. It involves ionising the sample, accelerating the ions, and measuring their time of flight.

Mass Spectra InterpretationA mass spectrum shows the relative abundance of ions plotted against their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z). Peaks on the spectrum represent isotopes of the analysed element.
