Sine graph shape
The sine graph has a wave-like shape, repeating every 360° (or 2π radians).
Cosine graph shape
The cosine graph has a wave-like shape, similar to the sine graph, but starts at its maximum value.
Tangent graph shape
The tangent graph has a repeating pattern with vertical asymptotes and no maximum or minimum values.
Period of sine and cosine graphs
The period of sine and cosine graphs is 360° (or 2π radians).
Period of tangent graph
The period of the tangent graph is 180° (or π radians).
Range of sine and cosine graphs
The range of sine and cosine graphs is -1 to 1.
Range of tangent graph
The range of the tangent graph is all real numbers (no limits).
Key points on sine graph
The sine graph passes through (0, 0), (90°, 1), (180°, 0), (270°, -1), and (360°, 0).
Key points on cosine graph
The cosine graph passes through (0, 1), (90°, 0), (180°, -1), (270°, 0), and (360°, 1).
Key points on tangent graph
The tangent graph passes through (0, 0), (180°, 0), and has vertical asymptotes at 90° and 270°.
