Coordinate
A pair of numbers (x, y) that define a point's position on a graph.
X-axis
The horizontal axis on a graph.
Y-axis
The vertical axis on a graph.
Origin
The point (0, 0) where the x-axis and y-axis intersect.
Quadrant
One of the four sections of a graph divided by the x-axis and y-axis.
Positive x-coordinate
A value to the right of the origin on the x-axis.
Negative x-coordinate
A value to the left of the origin on the x-axis.
Positive y-coordinate
A value above the origin on the y-axis.
Negative y-coordinate
A value below the origin on the y-axis.
Plotting a point
Marking a point on a graph using its coordinates (x, y).
