Locus of points equidistant from a single point
A circle with the given point as its centre.
Locus of points equidistant from a straight line
Two parallel lines on either side of the given line, at the specified distance.
Locus of points equidistant from two points
The perpendicular bisector of the line segment joining the two points.
Locus of points equidistant from two parallel lines
A line parallel to both lines and halfway between them.
Locus of points equidistant from two intersecting lines
Two angle bisectors of the angles formed by the intersecting lines.
Constructing a locus using a compass
Use a compass to draw arcs or circles to represent points equidistant from a given point or line.
Locus of a point moving at a fixed distance from a shape
A shape that is enlarged or offset by the fixed distance, often called a 'path' or 'boundary'.
Locus in 3D space equidistant from a point
