Interior angle of a regular polygon
The angle formed inside a regular polygon at each vertex.
Exterior angle of a regular polygon
The angle formed outside a regular polygon when one side is extended.
Sum of interior angles of a polygon
(n - 2) × 180°, where n is the number of sides.
Interior angle of a regular polygon formula
(n - 2) × 180° ÷ n, where n is the number of sides.
Exterior angle of a regular polygon formula
360° ÷ n, where n is the number of sides.
Sum of exterior angles of any polygon
360°, regardless of the number of sides.
Relationship between interior and exterior angles
Interior angle + Exterior angle = 180°.
Number of sides of a regular polygon from an exterior angle
n = 360° ÷ exterior angle.
Definition of a regular polygon
A polygon where all sides and angles are equal.
Interior angle of a hexagon
120°, calculated using (6 - 2) × 180° ÷ 6.
